AT THE BEGINNING…
After attending a performance of the play Le Prénom by Alexandre de La Patellière and Matthieu Delaporte, Daniel Cohen was inspired to create a project in the same spirit. He was particularly intrigued by the human phenomenon of “the group.”
Before becoming a film, Le Bonheur des Uns was a theater play. Both projects were developed in parallel until the film ultimately took precedence.

WE ALL LIVED IT
When someone embarks on a project, it triggers a particular phenomenon within their circle. Some discover that others had dreams of doing the same thing, some admire the project and the person behind it, while others feel envious and try to discourage the efforts, claiming they could have done it too.
Success does not leave the people around us indifferent. Particularly in the arts, “everyone would like to write a book, be a screenwriter, or direct a film. And when you interact with famous people, you realize that some of their acquaintances spread the idea that they have changed since their success, even though that’s often far from the truth!” notes Daniel Cohen.
